Pets enrich our lives in so many ways. They have even been proven to reduce stress and lower blood preassure.
Our most sincere thanks to our veterinary teams. We couldn't make it without your advice and support. Dr. Annette Litster and Dr. Jamieson Nichols of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Craig Chester, Charmet and Kristi of Animal Medical Clinic in Jasper, Georgia. Your dedication and willingness to help us keep the cats healthy make you all heroes.
Also, a huge thanks to Maddie's Fund for their generosity and working towards making the world better for all animals.

Dr. Nichols and Jessica Thanks to all of you!!!!
The information on this website is based on almost 20 years of experience with FIV in cats of all ages and disease states. We have experienced and overcome issues that most practicing veterinarians have not because their most common recommendation for "treating" an FIV positive cat is death. Not all vets suggest euthanasia and you should always seek a second opinion if euthanasia is offered. Please understand that anything you read here is not intended to be a substitute for sound veterinary advice. The purpose of this site is to provide the most accurate and current information available on FIV and caring for FIV positive cats. Please feel free to share any and all of it with your veterinarian.
The Fitzhugh B. Crews FIV Cat Sanctuary is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe home and loving care for FIV+ cats until they find their fur-ever families.
